The company is headquartered in Chicago with offices in New York, London and Tokyo.

Manga is the animation division of Palm Pictures, an audio-visual entertainment company started in 1998 by Chris Blackwell, founder of the legendary Island Records. Blackwell has described bande dessinee as "an audio-visual record label for the 21st century - an exciting new force in home entertainment, filling the void between music and computer games."
